Title: Farmers Market Representative

Compensation: Hourly Wage + Goal based incentives

Commitment: Approx. 10 hrs per week

• King Market - Monthly on the first Saturday
• PSU - Monthly on the Third Saturday
• Shemanski - Monthly on the last Wednesday
• Additional events - Optional

Requirement: Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license; we have a work car that you are welcome to use, or you can use your own vehicle (if you have one)

Position Description:

Join the Ground Up team to drive sales for our unique and healthy nut butters with a mission. The Farmers Market rep will represent Ground Up at Farmers Market and additional events (optional), through sampling and selling Ground Up nut butters to customers and sharing the story. This role involves working the event, including working it in its entirety and breaking down according to company protocol.  We are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, energetic and is able to lift 25 lbs. 

About Ground Up PDX: Ground Up is a small-batch nut butter company on a mission to spread good by providing job skills training to women overcoming adversity. Through our 6-9 month employment training program, women gain the confidence and skills they need to get back on their feet. We produce peanut-free, honey-sweetened nut butters in flavors such as Coconut Cardamom and Cinnamon Snickerdoodle. Our products are sold in New Seasons, Whole Foods, Fred Meyer, and other PNW and California retailers. The Ground Up team currently consists of 18 people.
