She's Empowered Spotlight: Lyana Begret See

We’re so excited to spotlight Lyana as part of our Empowered Spotlight Series and to celebrate our latest collab: Almond Butter Banana Bread. Lyana is a food and wellness creator, recipe developer, and mom of two who's approach to wellness is rooted in balance, consistency, grace, and a mission to #spreadthegood through food and community. In this interview, we dive into Lyana's journey, what inspired this comforting flavor, and how she shows up authentically for herself and others every day.

Tell us a little about you!

I’m a food and wellness creator, recipe developer, and mom of two who’s passionate about nourishing food that feels good and fits real life. I love creating simple, protein-forward, feel-good recipes that bring people back to balance without restriction or perfection. At the heart of everything I do is the belief that food should support your life, not complicate it.

What was the inspiration for Almond Butter Banana Bread?

I wanted to create a flavor that felt comforting, nostalgic, and truly delicious—something that could work just as well as a snack or even a dessert. Banana Bread Almond Butter has the perfect texture with a little crunch, and the banana bread flavor is just so good. It’s rich, cozy, and incredibly satisfying. I’m beyond excited to bring this flavor to life with one of my favorite companies - Ground Up! It honestly feels like a dream come true.

What do you do for work? Tell us about your professional journey.

I worked a 9-to-5 job before having kids. I chose to step away right before my first daughter was born and never went back. When my youngest turned one, I started working for myself, documenting my meals and fitness journey, and sharing what felt simple and approachable. Over time, that grew into a full-time career. I’ve now been a full-time content creator for almost 10 years. It took time, consistency, a lot of patience, and plenty of learning, but building something on my own has been incredibly rewarding.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by reminding myself why I started—to help people feel better, more confident, and more at peace with food. I focus on progress over perfection and give myself grace on slower days. Seeing how my work positively impacts others keeps me going.

Do you have any advice for someone who is interested in starting a business or blog?

Start before you feel ready, and stay true to your voice. Consistency matters more than perfection. Focus on providing value, building trust, and enjoying the process. Growth takes time, but authenticity always resonates in the long run.

What are your favorite ways to #spreadgood in your community?

I love spreading good by connecting with others through food, wellness, and honest conversations. Whether it’s sharing approachable recipes, encouraging balanced habits, or simply showing up authentically, I aim to create a space where people feel supported, inspired, and less alone on their wellness journey.

Who is one person who inspires you and why?

My husband inspires me the most. He is the most hardworking, loving, and supportive partner and father to our two girls. His dedication, kindness, and steady presence motivate me daily and remind me what truly matters.

How do you work to stay centered and practice self-care in your busy day-to-day reality?

I believe self-care looks different for everyone, and it’s important to make time for yourself in whatever way feels right. For me, that often means prioritizing movement and giving myself space to reset. I schedule my workouts into my calendar and show up for them, not just to get stronger physically, but because they help me feel clearer and more grounded mentally. Making that time for myself allows me to show up better in all areas of my life.

What do you like to do for fun when you aren’t working?

I love spending time with my family, experimenting in the kitchen, going for walks, and enjoying slow moments at home. Anything that helps me recharge and feel grounded brings me joy. I also love checking out local coffee shops and bakeries!

What are some of your favorite recipes with Ground Up?

Some of my favorites include Ground Up Banana Bread Almond Butter stuffed dates, banana bread topped with Banana Bread Almond Butter, yogurt bowls and chia pudding with a spoon of it mixed in, and a classic almond butter toast finished with fruit like bananas, strawberries, or raspberries.
