What do you do for work? Tell us about your professional journey.

 

Founder and CEO of French Squirrel! French Squirrel is a French-inspired, good-for-you snacking company with four primary product lines - Berets, Bateaux, Bisous and Beurre. We do not focus on numbers, but ingredients. Because real, whole food is about how it makes you feel on every level. We have been in business for about 3.5 years. It has been a wild ride and I have learned so much about myself through the process.


How do you stay motivated?

 

My passion is to help other women feel confident in their bodies through real food. This mission helps drive me every day.

Do you have any advice for someone who is interested in starting a business/blog?

 

Just start. Sounds cliché but my favorite quote is from the founder of LinkedIn, “If you're not embarrassed by the first version of your product, you've launched too late.”

What are your favorite ways to #spreadgood in your community?

 

I love hosting events in Los Angeles and cultivating community. I personally talk a lot about female wellness, hormones, body image, etc. on my social media platforms.

Who is one person who inspires you and why?

My best friend Anna of Akasha Superfoods inspires me to keep a positive outlook every day, to be grateful to be alive and healthy. I don’t know what I would do without her!

How do you work to stay centered and practice self-care in your busy day-to-day reality?

This is something I am still working on, but have done better with recently. My favorite way to stay centered is to take “une pause” (pause in French), with a French Squirrel snack and a beverage. It is my time to take a break and be present with myself and my body. A French concept that more Americans could adopt.

What do you like to do for fun, when you aren't working?

 

DANCE. The best energy release!
