Hayley started at Ground Up as a Production Associate working in our production kitchen, and quickly moved on to learn fulfillment too! She was recently promoted to the role of Operations Associate, where she's assisting with everything from fulfillment and warehousing to customer care and marketing.

What has your experience with Ground Up been like? 

I've had a very positive experience at Ground Up. I’ve gotten the chance to develop leadership skills, learn machinery, contribute to marketing and sales, pack orders and more. I like the team approach Ground Up takes in all areas.

What is the community at Ground Up like?

Our community is supportive, empathetic and encouraging. I appreciate the dedication leadership has to fostering a welcoming and comfortable environment. I love my coworkers—they make me laugh every day.

What do you like to do for fun? 

I like reading, writing poetry, walking my dog and doing yoga.

How do you stay motivated?

I think of where I want to be in 5 years. What does future me think of present me? I want to make her proud.

What are your favorite ways to #spreadgood in your community?

I always pick up trash—it seems small but it’s so easy to do.

Who is one person who inspires you and why?

My partner Marshall inspires me by always encouraging me to put myself and my needs first. This is hard for me, but necessary!

What is your favorite Ground Up nut butter flavor + favorite way to enjoy it?

I like the sunflower butter we make for New Seasons—especially the kind with honey. I put it on toast with raspberry jam.
