You may know Molly Yeh from the hit TV show Girl Meets Farm, or maybe you've just purchased her latest cookbook: Sweet Farm, OR you might know her as the creator behind one of our most iconic flavors to date: Marzipan with Sprinkles! However you know Molly, we're so excited to announce that we are back with a BRAND NEW flavor inspired by one of Molly's favorite childhood treats!

To all our friends meeting you for the first time, tell us a bit about you!

My name is Molly and I’m a cookbook author, TV host, and restaurant owner in East Grand Forks, MN!

What inspired the new Black Sesame Nut Butter? How does it differ from your previous collab?

Black sesame is one of my all time favorite dessert flavors, stemming from when I’d go to Chicago’s Chinatown on weekends with my family growing up. I’ve always loved its toasty nutty flavor and its cool dark color. It’s definitely darker and toastier than marzipan butter. It’s like marzipan butter’s moody younger sibling (in a cool Billie Eilish way??). 

Your Marzipan with Sprinkles collab became a bestseller—what was it like seeing that flavor take off?

For the first time I felt like my obsession with marzipan was truly validated! 

Your new cookbook Sweet Farm comes out in March—can you share what inspired it?

My obsession with making sweets paired with the fact that I married a sugar farmer! I’ve always known that I wanted to write a sweets book and now felt like the right time.

How does your farm life influence your approach to cooking and recipe creation?

I love experiencing the seasons on the farm and taking advantage of having fresh crops right outside my door. I love grinding my own wheat for cakes, it tastes incredible, and I love using ingredients like rhubarb and apples that we have right in our yard.

Are there any recipes in Sweet Farm that would pair perfectly with our nut butters?

So many. I use so many nut butters in Sweet Farm and actually, the buckeyes are directly inspired by your snickerdoodle butter (you guys have a shoutout in the headnote for that recipe!). I really want to make the pistachio sandwich cookies with Jessica’s collab pistachio butter (so good!!) and the frosted tahini cookies with black sesame butter. 

What was the most rewarding and most challenging part of your career? Do you have any advice on people looking to start their own business?

Right now it’s balancing work with being a mom. It’s always a balancing act. As far as advice, I would say the more you can connect with people in the industry, the more you’re going to learn. You can read a million books on business (and you should), but personal connections, learning from others, and supporting others, is always going to be extremely valuable. 

What’s your favorite way to ‘spread good’ in your daily life?

I recently started saying hi and smiling to a lot more to random people that I see regularly. Not in a crazy creepy way, but just in a way that makes me feel like not all of my human interactions have to happen through a phone.
