Meet Lynn

Meet Lynn — As one of our incredible Production Specialists, Lynn brings creativity, dedication, and heart to every shift — whether she’s loading pallets in the warehouse or helping jars of nut butter make their way to your local store.
Since joining the Ground Up team, Lynn has blossomed — not just in her skills on the production floor, but in confidence, courage, and creativity. From painting during her free time to stepping into new roles she never imagined she could do, Lynn’s story is a beautiful example of what happens when people are given the opportunity — and the support — to grow.

What does a typical day at Ground Up look like?
Each day is different. Some days I work in the warehouse filling nuts into buckets or loading up a pallet to be shipped off. Other days I fill up the jars, tamper and get them ready to ship to the various stores.
What do you like most about working at Ground Up?
I love working with a supportive staff who is willing to coach me and build me up.
What is a new skill to you or something new you have learned about yourself at Ground Up?
I have learned that I am so much more capable of doing tasks that I didn’t think I could do. I have gotten to explore my creative side too with painting and other crafts.
Big or small — what’s a win you’re celebrating right now?
Just learning new skills and the willingness and confidence to step in with those skills on the production line. I am proud of the growth I have done so far and growing is hard. I am actively growing and it’s a great place to grow.
How has your confidence grown since joining the Ground Up team?
My confidence has grown so much. I received positive feedback and recognition today about my performance at work. People are seeing the changes and efforts I am putting into changing.
Who’s someone that inspires you?
Honestly, I admire Shannon. She works hard every day, she works fast and is a very friendly person. She asks about me and my art, she encourages me to continue with my art. Her personality is so outgoing and friendly, she helps me come out of my comfort zone.
How would you describe the community at Ground Up?
Warm supportive people that are willing to teach you and give you the room to grow and learn. I feel like I have become part of the team and community.
There are seeds to be planted for positive growth. I am learning to do that here.
What does it mean to you to have a job opportunity and be back in the work force?
It's pretty amazing that people have faith in me and they know I am capable of doing great things even when I don’t have that faith in myself.
What’s your favorite flavor and way to eat it?
Triple Nut Crunch on toast — classic + Any of our seasonal flavors with pretzels.
