What is your role at Ground Up?
What has your experience with Ground Up been like?
I am continuously impressed with the way Julie and Caro have built a business that has the most delicious product and a clear and impactful mission. I feel at home, inspired, and energized!
What is the community at Ground Up like?
The Ground Up community is supportive, positive, and hard working. There is a lot of passion amongst employees about what we do, so we have a lot of fun.
What do you like to do for fun?
I love to cook, bake, read, listen to podcasts, and go camping. I also love scary movies!
How do you stay motivated?
Having a mission motivates me. If I feel discouraged or tired, I remind myself that the work that I do every day makes a positive impact on womxn’s lives.
What are your favorite ways to #spreadgood in your community?
I am passionate about helping womxn who have experienced PTSD, abuse, and other barriers, so I volunteer with organizations that help womxn in crisis like Call to Safety and local shelters.
Who is one person who inspires you and why?
My son inspires me every day! He is so brave, uniquely himself, funny, and kind. I know it’s cliche, but he really does make me want to be a better person.
What is your favorite Ground Up nut butter flavor + favorite way to enjoy it?
Right now it’s Toasted Macadamia Nut with Chia & Flaxseed, but it changes. No matter which flavor, I’m almost always going to snack straight out of the jar with a spoon. I also love baking with our nut butters!
